Ok, so, remember a while back when I talked about watching a movie that left me longing for simplicity, adventure, and the unknown? Well, it inspired Jordan too. After watching it, he looked at me and said “When our lease is up in April, lets leave California.”
The Next Adventure
While we were in Michigan last weekend, I shared some big news with my family. Now that it’s out in the open, it’s time to share it here as well. So………..
We’re moving! Where, you ask? Umm……
Source. (I love this shop!)
I was surprised. While leaving California is something I have wanted to do eventually, Jordan was not quite there yet. So my immediate response was “Ok. Are you sure?” He said he was. We were ready for what’s next. The next adventure.
But where to go? Closer to family for sure. Somewhere a little more simple, not so urbanized. Not too north, not too south, such and such. There’s a lot to think about. But here’s the thing, we’re not going to focus on that part just yet.
First, we are going to focus on the journey. We are going to sell our things (I’ll probably have destash sales online), pack up my car (with Penny too!), and drive. We plan to enjoy the ride. When I drove out to California from Michigan I didn’t take my time. This time, we are going to make a lot of stops, visit friends, explore new cities. We are going to take advantage of the fact that, for once, we have no obligations. We will be free to go and do whatever we want. I’m so excited!
Obviously there’s a lot of details to face. I know getting rid of most of what I own will be hard and time-consuming. And while I plan to blog about the adventure along the way (wifi access permitting), I’m still trying to decide what to do about my shop.
So still figuring things out! The only certain thing is that I am leaving California in April in search of my next adventure! I would love to hear your suggestions! Do you love where you live? Where would you move if you could go anywhere? And where should we stop along the way?
